Christmas break is almost over! I use the term “break”
loosely because generally I’m working every day. I’ve also been into university
a few times. I'm currently working on a project with a friend of mine for a company. I've been
onto campus a few times for conferences with him.
I’m actually looking forward to going back. I generally work better at university, mostly because of the distractions and stresses at home. I like to be at university as much as I can. I’m looking forward to catching up with a few people again.

I’m not completely sure why I prefer studying at university,
I think it might be due to someone not asking me to help them bring shopping
in, wash up or fix a random PC for a friends of a friend’s brother’s aunt’s
sister-in-law. I have much less
distractions on campus. Everyone’s in that same boat: they all have assignments
due so most people are mature and won’t really be distracting. The only thing
that may stop you for an hour is eating, but even then it’s generally something I do with people on
my course and we discuss assignments or topical subjects.
Enough to cause chaos on public transport…

One thing that is somewhat controversial is snow. I
actually enjoy snow, but sadly public transport generally flops. Everything
becomes so unreliable it’s sometimes not even worth trying to travel. Especially
considering that the professors and lecturers will need to travel through that
type of weather too. I think the university itself was closed last year because
of snow, so things might get tricky! Luckily I don’t have exams early in 2014.
I'm looking forward to going back and I hope you all had a great new year! :)
